Babies and fats

When a baby is in its mother's womb, it is surrounded by love and warmth around the clock.
The baby is optimally nourished and is in a protective shell. When that baby emerges into the world, it must deal with countless new challenges - independent breathing, lights and mirrors, voices and sounds, cold and heat, a sense of loneliness, and so on and so forth... What can be done to make that pure and helpless creature easier?
Warmth and closeness
First and foremost, give the baby plenty of warmth and closeness. The baby was wrapped and protected in the mother's womb, and now, as a separate body, needs as much of a sense of connection and togetherness as possible, as much of a familiar sense of closeness as possible. Therefore, it is recommended to lift the baby a lot in the first months of life, to sleep close to each other, and if possible to carry him in a carrier outside and even at home. Usually the benefit is twofold - the baby and mother are calmer.
Coziness and tranquility
It is advisable to try to create a sense of calm and tranquility at home. Soft lights, quiet, calm music, pleasant, non-shouting speech, all of which will allow the baby a softer landing in the world.
Proper nutrition
Pregnancy and the breastfeeding period, in which the baby grows and develops, suckles from the mother a lot of mental and physical strength. Proper nutrition for the mother during this period is important - both to ensure that her body does not accumulate deficiencies, and to ensure that the baby's growing body receives what it needs as a foundation for life. A mother who eats a balanced diet will be happy and vital towards the world and the baby, and in addition, the breastfed baby will suffer less from stomach aches and complications.

And what can oils help with?
Because a baby grows and develops in its mother's 'gut', breathing what she breathes, eating what she eats, hearing what she hears and being directly influenced by what she feels, it is completely identified with its mother in the first months of its life. It does not know that it is separated from its mother, so in many cultures around the world it is customary to pull the baby with oil, massage it gently, and in this way connect it to the feeling of itself and the boundaries of its body. In addition, the adaptation of the baby's digestive system is usually difficult, and a gentle massage of the abdomen, in a clockwise direction, can be very helpful and soothing.

Preparing baby massage oil
It is very important to use natural oil and not common 'baby oil' (mineral oil is a byproduct of petroleum, with the addition of a synthetic fragrance).
You can use pure olive oil or almond oil of reliable quality (can be found in health food stores). To 2 tablespoons of oil, you can add one drop of chamomile or lavender, but only if you are sure that the extract is pure and of high quality. The massage should be performed when the baby is not hungry, in a warm and pleasant place and in a relaxed atmosphere. It is best to use a large towel on the bed, place the baby naked, warm your hands slightly and lubricate them with the oil that we prepared in advance.
Then start rubbing the baby gently while massaging. In the abdominal area, it is advisable to massage gently in circular movements in a clockwise direction. It is highly recommended to pull the baby to the ends of the body – including the feet and hands. Some babies cooperate more and others less, and it is important for them to feel comfortable, so if they become hungry or start crying, you can stop for that day and it is not worth insisting on the massage. However, most babies enjoy and crave this touch. Alternatively, you can use our 'baby oil' – an excellent blend of almond oil, calendula oil and macadamia oil with the addition of organic essential oils of chamomile, roman and lavender. This mixture creates a fragrant and soothing oil for body and mind, which is good both for moisturizing and calming the skin and as a general massage oil for the baby, or a massage oil for the abdominal area to relieve pain.
Enjoy...
