Green smoothie! The ultimate breakfast
A delicious and wonderful fruit smoothie! The ultimate summer breakfast
At the beginning of summer, I place the blender on the counter and it becomes a close friend.
Between 6:30-7:30, 7 pairs of shoes are worn on the way out for another day of kindergarten/school/work...
Still trying to train the kids that it's their responsibility to prepare food for the day...
Anyway, sending them off with a nutritious 'all in one pot' breakfast is something I love to do,
And that's how I make morning potions in a blender with love and good intentions.
I buy big, hard cups with lids so the kids don't feel like it's weird to drink a green smoothie... that it looks like something 'store-bought'...
We're used to smoothies, so I allow myself to 'go wild' and add lettuce, parsley, coconut oil,
Ground flax, spirulina, and other superfood supplements depending on what I have at home,
But for those who are not used to the "weird" additions, I suggest doing it in stages and starting
In a smoothie made from your favorite fruits and water only.
When you are comfortable with the fruit smoothie, you can add another ingredient each time and see if you feel comfortable with it.
It's good to vary it and aim for the shake to be nutritious and include those foods that you know are good to eat but miss during the day.
Additionally, you should aim to have something green inside.
-I'm a spirulina fan, I really feel it.
The extra vitality that this green tea gives me!
I also love that a small spoonful of this green stuff is equal to a whole package of organic vegetables and has almost no effect on
The taste of the smoothie.
base-
2 ripe bananas
Favorite fruit dish - pear, peach, mango, strawberries, berries
2 dates
10 almonds (preferably soaked in water for a few hours before use) or a tablespoon of almond butter
A small glass of water and ice
Feel free to add whatever you see fit-
A handful of parsley
cucumber
2 lettuce leaves
A teaspoon of chia seeds
A teaspoon of spirulina
A teaspoon of coconut oil
A teaspoon of ground flaxseed
This recipe is just to give direction. I trust you can play with it!
Pour everyone a glass + a straw + a kiss and voila - we're off for a wonderful day!
