Almond milk This is the best option for me for deep and quick nutrition without straining the body with digestive processes.
I literally feel like a nursing baby when I drink almond milk.
It's rich! Satisfying! Healthy! Great!
Full of vitamins, minerals, essential fatty acids and proteins, all of which are highly available to the body.
There are a few little tricks you should know when preparing, but the principle is simple, and the more you prepare, the easier it becomes and part of your daily routine.
I know some people say - yes, of course, she has time and I don't.....she can and I can't.....
This is nonsense! You are the most important and your nutrition is the most important! The cleaner and healthier you eat, the more alive and happy you will feel.
If I can do it with a house full of kids and a busy day, then you can too!
So like this-
1 cup almonds
3 cups filtered water
2 dates
A few grains of Atlantic salt or Himalayan salt
Soak the almonds overnight, or about 6 hours.
Soaking causes the almond to 'awaken'. That almond is in a 'sleeping' state and has the potential to grow a whole almond tree.
What makes all enzymes active is contact with water, so soaking is super important.
Place the ingredients in a blender and blend for about 2 minutes.
When the almonds and dates are well ground, you can transfer everything to a cloth diaper (like before) and strain the liquids over a bowl.
Squeeze every drop of this gold!
It is best to transfer to a glass bottle in the refrigerator and drink within two days.
To me, it's wonderful as a cold drink, but you can use it as a milk substitute for any purpose.
I encourage the kids to drink a little because it's just like a multivitamin.
The leftover almond crumbs left in the cloth can be added to cakes or cookies...I don't like to throw them away.
To everyone's health!
